Police are appealing for information about a car which is believed to have been used in an armed robbery in Bradford.

The silver or grey Ford Galaxy is believed to have been used by four men in a raid on commercial premises in Legrams Lane at about 9.30am on Monday.

One of the men, who was wearing dark clothing and a face covering walked into the premises carrying a gun.

A staff member noticed the man and then ran to a safe area.

Two more men also wearing dark clothing and face coverings then entered the premises and stole a quantity of cash and cigarettes before leaving in the Galaxy, which was last seen driving along Thornton Road towards Bradford city centre.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police are also keen to identify a ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’-style quilt cover which was used in the raid, as well as a distinctive Adidas hooded top worn by one of the suspects.

Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg, of Bradford District CID, said: “We are keen to find out more about the movements of this vehicle, which had tinted windows and a roofbar. It also had a yellow air freshener attached to the windscreen.

“Someone will have seen this vehicle or similar as it made its way from Legrams Lane towards the city centre, or perhaps after that and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

“We are also keen to identify the distinctive quilt cover and a hooded top which was worn by one of the suspects.

“I would urge anyone who recognises either the quilt or the clothing, or who knows someone with similar to contact the police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
