Crime prevention advice for Wyke businesses

Businesses in Wyke can take advantage of free crime prevention advice and property marking next week.

PCSO Rebecca Simpson from the Tong and Wyke Neighbourhood Policing Team will be out and about with partners next week at three different locations across the area.

On Monday March 17, PCSO Simpson will be joined by council wardens on a visit to shops and businesses in Towngate, Wyke between 10am and 1pm.

Then on Tuesday, PCSO Simpson and advisors from the Business Crime Reduction Centre will be stationed in one of the force’s exhibition vans in Common Road, Low Moor, where they will be available between 10am and 2pm to discuss any issues regarding business crime.

The van then moves to the Euroway Trading Estate in BD4 on Thursday, where PCSO Simpson will again be joined by council wardens between 9.30am and 12pm to speak about issues affecting local busineses.

The property marking kits have been funded by local councillors.

PCSO Simpson, said: “We are committed to working with our partners to reduce business crime and hope that our local shops and firms will make the most of this free service.

“Anyone who is unable to attend but who has concerns about business crime is asked to contact the Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101.”
