Driver wanted on European warrant arrested in Calderdale

A driver who was wanted on a European arrest warrant was found by police officers in Calderdale.

Officers from the Calderdale Valleys Neighbourhood Policing Team were out on patrol on July 21.

They had reason to stop a VW Golf in the Todmorden area.

When checks were carried they found the vehicle had no insurance and was seized.

However police officers also discovered more about the driver.

Further enquiries revealed that they were wanted on a Europen arrest warrant.

They were arrested at the scene.
