Electric fence energisers stolen in Hebden Bridge

Thieves have stolen three energisers being used to power an electric fence and chicken wire.

Both thefts happened in Hebden Bridge this week and police are urging anyone who has information to get in touch.

The first happened between 9pm on Sunday and 7am on Monday at Butts Bottom. A battery connected to a single energiser was being used to power electrified chicken wire. The energiser was stolen and the battery left behind.

The second theft happened between 8pm on Tuesday and 10pm on Wednesday at Burlees Lane.

The two 12 vault energisers taken were being used to run an electric fence.

The energisers are described as black oblong boxes with two switches on the top and spikes on the bottom.

Anyone who can help the police should call Sergeant Damon Walker from the Upper Valley neighbourhood policing team on 101.
