Elland canal towpath CCTV appeal as police step up hunt for sex attackers

Enquiries remain ongoing into the offence which took place between 6.30am and 7.49am on the Canal Towpath on the Calder Navigation on Friday October 19.

Hide AdThe offence occurred after the victim, a 20-year-old woman, was approached by suspects while walking on the towpath between the Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve and the Colliers.
She was assaulted and then sexually assaulted by suspects who left the scene.
Officers are still appealing for information to identify three men who may have been together on the towpath at the time the incident took place.
They are also particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have home or vehicle CCTV covering the route of the canal between Park Road and Elland Road or covering access points to the canal area.
