Five arrested on drug and ‘threats to cause damage’ offences in Halifax

Five people have been arrested in Halifax over drug and ‘threats to cause damage’ offences.

Police were called to reports of suspicious activity on Clarence Street, Halifax, at around 5.40pm on Monday.

After a search involving the police helicopter, five people were arrested - three on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and two on suspicion of making threats to cause damage.

All five have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are currently investigating the incident and have urged any witnesses to come forward.

Chief Inspector Steve Thomas, of Calderdale Police, said: “Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police on 101.”
