Four people have been issued with Covid breaches after police stopped a car in Calderdale.

West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit stopped the car on the A672 in Rishworth.

The silver VW Golf was originally stopped as it has an expired MOT.

Officers discovered that there were four people in the car from different households.

The excuse they gave was they had gone from Bradford towards Oldham 'just for a drive'.

A traffic offence report was issued for the MOT offence, and four Covid breach reports for penalty notices were handed out.
