A gang of thieves jumped from out of car and stole the purse of woman as she walked with a pushchair in Halifax.

The incident happened on Saturday January 2 at 4.30pm on Keighley Road, between the junctions of Grove Avenue and Athol Road.

A car pulled up alongside a 23-year-old woman with a pushchair, and three men then got out of the car and demanded her purse.

The fourth man, the driver, remained in the car during the incident.

The victim, handed over her purse and the car drove off down Old Lane, Halifax.

No injuries were sustained, but the victim was understandably shaken by the incident.

The car is described as a small silver 5-door hatchback.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or particularly anyone with relevant dashcam footage is asked to contact the police as soon as possible via 101 quoting log number 2162 of 02/01. Information can passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
