Get on your bike and catch criminals!
Officers in Calderdale have been given ten new bikes to allow them to catch criminals on two wheels as well as four.
Sergeant Phil Haigh said: “The bikes will mobilise our ward based officers and enable them to cover a greater area. Their work involves problem solving and crime reduction and will not impact on resources attending emergencies. They can also deploy into crime hotspots where we can cover built up areas quickly and catch criminals.”
