Vandals have left these Halifax bus stops covered in graffiti.

The shelters, on Free School Lane in Savile Park, have been tagged with spray paint and residents have reported other property in the area also getting marked.

Inspector Derrick Oldham, who leads Halifax Central neighbourhood policing team, said: “Graffiti is a crime. It is damaging and impacts on people.”

He said the police keep a database of graffiti tags and would be comparing those used in Savile Park to the ones they have on file to try to find the culprits.

He urged anyone with information that might help their investigation to get in touch by ringing 101.
