Police are at the scene of a shooting in Ovenden.
Officers were called to Hopkinson Street at 5.47pm last night (Thursday) to reports of a gun being fired. Specially trained officers attended and an area search was made.
Detective Inspector Shaun Bartram of West Yorkshire Police’s Protective Services said: “This is an isolated incident and, fortunately, nobody has been hurt. However, I understand that the discharge of a firearm is concerning for members of the local community. I would like to reassure them that we are conducting a thorough investigation into this incident and every effort is being made to identify the person responsible.”
