Halifax man arrested for money laundering after police discover £500,000 in his car

A Halifax man was arrested by police on money laundering offences after £500,000 was found in his car.

The money was seized by West Yorkshire Police officers in an operation in Cumbria on Thursday May 7.

Officers stopped at vehicle on the M6 and when the vehicle they discovered the huge amount of money.

The 39-year-old man from the Halifax area was arrested on suspicion of money laundering – concealing criminal property.

He has beeen released under investigation as enquiries continue.
