A Halifax man has been jailed after he coughed over police officers and told them he had coronavirus.

The incident happened in the early hours of April 7 as officers attended an address in Ovenden.

Anthony McCrory, 25 from Denfield Edge, said he had Coronavirus before coughing at two police officers when they attended an incident at his home address

He pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency service worker/

He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison.
