Halifax men accused of setting up an illegal casino will face trial

Two Halifax men have appeared in court charged with running an illegal casino.

Nick Bannister, 24, of Bank Road in Sowerby Bridge, and Paul Pyzer, 39 of Holmfield Gardens, Ovenden, appeared before Calderdale Magistrates this morning.

Both admitted being in possession of cannabis but denied providing facilities for gambling and operating a casino at Last Chance Saloon in Cross Street, Halifax on September 8 last year.

The pair will next appear before Magistrates for trial on 15 May.
