She said: “Our lives have been suspended since the morning of New Year’s Eve when our beautiful husky cross dogs disappeared at around 6.45 am. Together with our two cats, they have been our little family for three and a half years.

“My husband suffers from Alzheimer’s and the boys have kept us going. Zac with his big white head which he would lay down affectionately and Blu with his floppy ear and licks to get our attention. How we miss them!

“Please, please if you know anything get in touch. We are heartbroken.”

Both dogs have been neutered. Zac suffers from pancreatitis and is on a special fat-free diet and Blu shows signs of asthma if he has anything tight around his neck.
