Hunt for driver who failed to stop during police chase through Brighouse

Police are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle failed to stop for officers on the M606 on Saturday June 6.

Officers were pursuing the car – a blue/purple Audi RS6 estate – on the M606 at around 12.45pm.

The Audi drove from the M606 to the M62 Brighouse junction and then onto Mirfield.

It then continued through Dewsbury into a pedestrianised zone before driving to Ossett and to the M1 northbound, and onto the A650 at the Carr Gate junction.

Police are appealing for witnesses

Officers continued to follow the vehicle until it turned right towards Thorpe and was lost on Sissons Road.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage of the pursuit or of the vehicle driving in that area.

The car is believed to have been driven by an Asian male with a passenger, who is also described as an Asian male and was wearing a baseball cap.

Anyone who has information relating to the incident or anyone who has dashcam footage of the vehicle is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting crime reference 13200279016.
