Police investigating alleged fraud offences in Todmorden are urging anyone who has recently been told by a caller that they require work on their roof to make contact.

Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who has seen a red van with distinctive orange and red reflective stripes on the lower half of the rear doors in the Todmorden or surrounding area.

Anyone who has received a call at their door from a roofing company in recent weeks or believes that they have seen this red van is asked to call Halifax CID on 101.

Officers have charged two men with fraud by false representation in connection with reported offences on Saturday, October 19, and Monday, October 21.

John Fawcett, 29, of Adelaide Street, Hebden Bridge; and Charlie Smith, 33, of Borrowdale Avenue, Nelson, Burnley, have been remanded in custody to appear at Bradford Crown Court on November 7.
