Latest cases heard by Calderdale magistrates

A MAN has appeared in court facing three charges.

John Trewartha, 64, of Whitelee Gardens, Mytholmroyd, has appeared at Calderdale Magistrates’ Court charged with producing cannabis and possessing it with intent to supply. He is also said to have £5,000 in criminal property. The case was adjourned until August 23.

Trewartha was given unconditional bail.

Also appearing at the court was Ian King, 32, of Weavers Brook, Cumberland Close, Halifax, who is said to have been at Shay Lane, Ovenden, on June 6 with a large hammer, pliers, torch and wearing dark clothing.

The case will next be heard in Bradford on September 12.
