Police were called to a house in Shipley after a man told officers he had a live firearm.
Police attended an address in Victoria Road at around 3pm this afternoon to conduct arrest enquiries for a man they wanted to speak to.
On attending a 24-year-old year old man confronted officers from a house widow, throwing objects and intimating he had a live firearm.
Officers put a cordon around the house and surrounding streets and summoned armed response units due the fire arms threat.
Following negotiations the man surrendered himself to Police at around 4pm and is now under arrest in custody.
A search of the house revealed a suspected toy gun which has been seized by officers.
