A man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Almondbury on Saturday, 8 March.
The offence happened between 4.30pm and 5pm inside an off-licence store in Southfield Road, Almondbury.
The teenage victim was involved in an altercation with two males before being stabbed seven times.
He remains in hospital where he is receiving treatment for injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and released on bail.
Detective Constable Liam Rye, of Kirklees CID, said: “We have already spoken to a number of people at the scene but are keen to speak to anyone else who was in the area who believes they may have seen this incident.
“Anyone with information should contact Kirklees CID on 101.”
