Man bailed over racially aggravated incident at Morrisons

A 24-year-old man has been arrested and bailed over a racially aggravated public order incident inside a Harrogate supermarket on Tuesday, June 2.

The incident took place at Morrisons supermarket at Plumpton Park Harrogate and involved the store’s security guard and another man at around 4.20pm.

An investigation into the incident is still ongoing and North Yorkshire Police have appealed for witnesses to determine the full circumstances.

In particular, the police are appealing for information about the incident involving the security guard and the man who had been verbally abusive to him.
