Man charged after three cars are stolen in Brighouse

A 28-year-old man has been charged with burglary after three high value cars were taken from addresses in Brighouse.

Overnight on Tuesday, October 21, and in the early hours of Wednesday, October 22, two men are believed to have broke into a property on Knowle Top Road and stolen some keys.

They are then believed to have broken into a house on Lightcliffe Road, stolen a pair of car keys and taken a BMW 5 Series and a Peugeot 308 off the drive. The vehicles have since been recovered.

Some time later, a black Audi A4 was stolen on Cecil Avenue. The vehicle is still to be recovered and its registration number is “D2SPB”.

Detective Inspector, of Calderdale CID, said police were linking all the incidents.

“If anybody has got any information in relation to these incidents I would urge them to contact Calderdale CID via 101.”

A 28-year-old man, who is from the Bradford area, was last night charged with burglary. However, a second male suspect remains at large.
