Man injured in Hebden Bridge gang attack

A man was left with serious facial injuries in an apparently unprovoked attack by a gang of men in Hebden Bridge.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the serious assault which took place on Carlton Street between 11pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, April 11.

The 20-year-old victim was approached by a group of between seven and ten men who assaulted him and knocked him to the ground.

The victim sustained serious facial injuries in the assault which required hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Will Burgess, of Calderdale CID, said: “We are appealing for information to this apparently unprovoked assault which left the victim with some serious facial injuries.

“It is believed he was assaulted by between seven to 10 men who were described as being in their 30’s and of a large/muscular build.”
