Man robbed in Halifax town centre

Police are appealing for information after a young man was kicked to the ground and robbed of his mobile phone.

The victim was attacked at 9.45 pm on Saturday at the junction of Crossley Street and Princess Street.

He was walking and talking on his mobile when the three suspects shouted at him.

“He was attacked and kicked to the ground, but not badly hurt, and one of the suspects took his phone,” said Det Sgt Terry O’Keeffe.

His attackers were three Asian men in the mid-20s and one was wearing a black hat.

They ran off towards Waterhouse Street and anyone with information should contact DC 178 Little on 337085.
