Man seriously injured after Ovenden crash

A man is seriously injured in hospital after crashing into a parked car in Ovenden.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash, which happened last night (Saturday) at 11.10pm.

The driver of a blue Citroen C2 car was travelling on Turner Avenue North in the direction of Raw Lane when he crashed into a parked grey Peugeot 308.

The man, who is in his thirties, remains in hospital.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle driving in the area beforehand to get in touch.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman added: "The Roads Policing Unit would also like to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage of the vehicle driving in the area prior to the collision or footage of the collision itself.

"Anyone with information should use the 101 online chat service or call 101, quoting log 2079 of 29/08."
