Masked men raid Bradford shop


Four masked men made off with money and cigarettes after raiding a shop in Little Horton, last night.(Wed)

At around 7.30pm they entered the shop in Park Road and made demands for money.

The shop assistant grabbed a handful of notes and threw them at the men.

One of the group attacked the till with a hammer, while another grabbed some cigarettes from the shelves.

The men, who spoke with Eastern European accents, then fled from the shop and ran off towards Elizabeth Street.

No vehicle was seen and no one was hurt.

Detective Inspector Stuart Lyons of Bradford District CID, said: “We are keen to trace these men before they strike again, and I would urge anyone who was in the Park Road/Elizabeth Street area of Bradford on Wednesday between 7.30pm and 7.40pm to contact the police, as it is possible they would have seen these men.”
