A missing Leeds pensioner has been sighted in Halifax.

Joyce Bowman, aged 88, from Halton, used her bus pass to travel on a 508 First bus service from Leeds City Bus Station to Halifax Bus Station, leaving at 10.20am on Friday and arriving at about 11.35am.

She was alone at the time and wearing a fawn coloured three-quarter length Mac type coat with a hood, black trousers, dark flat shoes and black gloves. She was carrying a black shopping bag. She is white, about 5ft 2ins tall, medium build with grey hair.

Her family are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare and police are continuing extensive enquiries to establish her whereabouts.

She had previously been seen at a church luncheon club in Halton on Thursday last week but failed to attend church on Sunday as she did every week.

She has a bus pass and travels across Yorkshire using it. She previously went missing and was found in Colne, Lancashire.

Anyone who has seen her or who has any information is asked to contact the Leeds District Safeguarding Unit via the non-emergency number 101.
