Motorist lucky to escape M62 crash with minor injuries

A motorist was fortunate to escape with minor injuries following a crash on the M62 this morning.

The incident involving a black saloon car happened westbound between junction 23, A640 (Huddersfield) and junction 22, A672 (Rishworth Moor) at around 3.30am.

The westbound carriageway was closed for around an hour whilst investigations were carried out and the scene was cleared.

WestYorks Police RPU Tweeted: “This is the result of not concentrating on the motorway! One very lucky driver with no injuries sustained!”
