Petrol station attendant tied-up by armed raider

A lone gunman held-up a Halifax petrol station around 11 pm last night.(Sun)

He entered the Halifax Service Station, Skircoat Road, through an unsecured door and threatened the male staff member before tying him up and leaving him on the floor.

Police say the robber, who was armed with a black pistol, is believed to have fled empty-handed.

The victim was unhurt and was able to raise the alarm.

Police are not linking the robbery with other incidents.

The suspect is in his late 20s/early 30s, just over 6ft tall and stocky.

He wore a grey hooded top, a grey sleeveless body warmer and black jogging bottoms.
