Police appeal following suspicious Leeds death

Police are investigating following the discovery of a man’s body at a flat at Saville Green, Appleton Way, Leeds yesterday evening.

Officers were called to a flat in Saville Green, Appleton Way, Leeds at about 8pm last night (Saturday December 6) where they found the body of the adult man. Despite treatment by paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 48-year-old woman in the property was arrested in connection with the incident and is in police custody for questioning.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fountain, said: “We are continuing our investigations into this incident and a forensic post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death of this man.

“Further enquiries remain ongoing to determine precisely what has occurred.

“A woman remains in custody after being arrested in connection with the incident and at this time we are not seeking anyone else in connection with the matter.
