Police appeal for witnesses following Huddersfield robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 25-year-old man was robbed near to Damside Road, Huddersfield, on Wednesday night. .

Detective Constable Peter Usher, from Huddersfield CID, said: “The victim was walking down an alleyway which leads from Damside Road to Primrose Hill when he was approached by two men and threatened.

“After stealing a mobile phone the two suspects fled the scene on foot. They are described as tall black males, late teens to early twenties, around 6ft tall and both athletically built. One of the men had short black hair and the other was wearing a grey hoody with the hood pulled up tight around his face and grey jogging bottoms.

“Fortunately the victim was not seriously injured but has been left understandably shocked by the incident.”
