Police appeal: High value medical equipment stolen in Halifax

Police are appealing for witnesses after high value medical equipment was stolen from a parked vehicle in Halifax in an overnight raid.

The theft took place between 8pm on Tuesday and 9am on Wednesday in the Savile Park area.

Amongst the itmes taken were portable lighting, a Karl Storz video-scope and specialist industrial equipment, along with a mobile phone.

Detective Inspector David Shaw, of Calderdale CID, said: “This is likely to have been a crime of opportunity with suspects making off with a number of specialist items.

“I would urge anyone who saw anyone or anything suspicious in the area, or who may have been offered to buy the items to come forward.”
