A police operation in Park Ward saw police officers stop vehicles linked with drug dealing and searches for guns

Operation Henbourne targets anti-social behaviour and dangerous and careless driving offences.

PC Illingworth sighted a vehicle with an illegal number plate, upon stopping the vehicle it was discovered the vehicle was uninsured.

The driver had purchased the vehicle the previous day and collected it knowing he was not insured to drive it.

The vehicle was seized and the driver issued with a ticket for the offences.

Another vehicle was stopped on Parkinson Lane due to the driver of the vehicle driving whilst on his mobile phone, not wearing his seatbelt and an expired MOT with another vehicle stopped on Queens Road due to the driver not wearing his seatbelt.

A number of vehicles were also stopped which were linked to the supply of drugs as well as confrontation visits conducted due to intelligence linking nominals to firearms and Class A drugs.
