Officers are appealing for witnesses after two robberies in the Allerton area.

Both incidents happened close to the Dixon’s Academy.

The most recent incident was on Wednesday June 12 on Allerton Lane between 2.15pm and 2.45pm.

The male victim was walking with two friends through a lightly wooded area when he fell behind.

He was approached from behind by three males. One male with a face covering demanded the victim’s mobile phone and forced him to the ground.

The other two males held the victim down whilst the first male searched the victim’s pockets, taking his phone. The victim’s two friends then returned and the three made off.

The first incident happened nearby on Tuesday June 11 between 10.45am and 11.05am off Chapel Lane.

A male was walking through Ladyhill Park when approached by three males.

The first male grabbed hold of him by the neck and pulled him into some bushes, threatening him with a screwdriver before the other two males searched his pockets. The victim’s mobile phone was taken.

It is thought the males had been seen previously outside the school.

Officers believe the incidents are linked and are appealing for any witnesses to contact Airedale and North Bradford CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
