Police searching for missing Cleckheaton woman find body

Police searching for a missing Cleckheaton woman have found a body.

Tracey Bamford, 46, has been missing from her home in the early hours of Wednesday, July 22.

And detectives from Kirklees CID have confirmed that a woman’s body has been found.

Officers were called to land near Mann Dam bridge at about 3.09pm this afternoon (Friday) after a member of the public raised the alert.

Detective Inspector Mark Truelove, of Kirklees CID, said: “A full post mortem will take place but at this stage there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.”

Det Insp Truelove confirmed that Miss Bamford’s family have been made aware of the development.
