Racist graffiti sprayed in Boothtown

Police are appealing for witnesses after racist graffiti was sprayed on buildings, vehicles and street furniture in Boothtown.

The eight incidents took place between 4pm on Friday, March 28, and 9am on Sunday, March 30, at locations in Woodlands View, All Souls Road, Ackroyd Court, Range Court and Carmel Road. And in five of the incidents the graffiti was of a racist and or abusive nature and was sprayed in black and white.

PC Anna Law of the Halifax Central Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “These incidents all happened within a short space of time in the area. Some of the graffiti is distressing for people and I would appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information about who has caused this damage to contact police on 101.”
