Sheep killed in fatal Southowram dog attack
Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal sheep attack in Southowram.
One sheep was killed and another two were injured in the attack between 6.30am and 7am on Saturday, January 31, in a field at ‘The Ranch’ in Long Lane.
PC Fiona Igo, a Calderdale wildlife officer, said: “The dog will have been with its owner as there were fresh footprints in the snow in the field. The dog will also have been covered in blood.
“I would urge anyone who knows who owns the dog, or indeed the dog owner themself, to contact me on 07595 006728 or by emailing [email protected].”
