Speeding 102mph driver 'on way home from getting burger' given coronavirus warning on M62

A driver was stopped for speeding at 102mph on his way home from Oldham after he decided to get a burger.

West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit said the driver was stopped between junction 23 and 24 on the M62 - near Ainley Top.

He was reported for speeding after being caught at 102mph at 6.25am this morning (May 4).

When stopped, the driver told officers he was on his way home from getting a burger, a tweet said.

Posting on Twitter the unit said: "Traffic offence report issued for speeding and also given a coronavirus warning."
