Speeding drivers caught 12mph over the legal limit in Sowerby Bridge

Speeding drivers have been caught in Calderdale as police crackdown on dangerous and irresponsible driving.

Officers from the Calderdale Valleys neighbourhood Policing team conducted speed checks on February 13 in Sowerby Bridge area.

Action was taken due to residents highlighting the issue to officers

In Hollins Lane Hollins Lane between 9am and 9.45am most vehicles were travelling at the speed limit however one vehicle had been travelling at 28mph in the 20mph zone.

Speed checks were carried out in Sowerby Bridge

Words of advice were given by officers.

In the afternoon officers conducted patrols in Pye Nest Road.

Drivers were dealt with for driving at excessive speed with the highest being 42mph in the 30mph zone.
