Suspected burglar out of his depth
A suspected burglar, who jumped into the Calder and Hebble Navigation in a police chase where he had to be rescued, appeared at Calderdale Magistrates’ Court.
Daniel Mclay, 27, of Ravenscliffe, Bradford, is charged with the burglary of a dwelling on Cross Hills Mount, Greetland, taking a vehicle without consent and dangerous driving.
Mclay, who appeared from custody, on September 2, was bailed until September 16 when he will appear at Bradford Crown Court. A condition of his bail is that he must not enter Calderdale.
