Suspected Halifax drug dealer arrested after public tip-off

Officers attended reports of drugs dealing near to Queens Road, Halifax on July 15.

The reported vehicle was sighted on Hanson Lane and stopped by police.

The male driver and his vehicle were searched which ultimately led to the arrest of the driver for drugs offences.

The driver also provided a positive sample for drugs following a drugs wipe and was further arrested for drug driving.

A spokesperson for the Halifax Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "This is one of the many drug related jobs we attend on a daily basis and it is thanks to members of the public who report such incidents.

"Every report is recorded, and in time they’re collated allowing us to see a bigger and more detailed picture.

"Suspects are identified and vehicles linked to these individuals are matched up. As you can imagine suspects are often linked to a larger network of other key individuals in Organised Crime Groups.

"We continue to urge members of the public to work with the Police and continue to report such incidents which blight our streets."
