Suspicious vehicle searched by Calderdale police and driver arrested after discovery

Officers from the Calderdale Valleys Neighbourhood Policing Team stopped and searched a suspicious vehicle and its occupants on Cold Edge Road, Wainstalls.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and the passenger given a community resolution for possession of cannabis.

On their return trip to Todmorden, officers stopped another vehicle on Burnley Road, Sowerby Bridge which was displaying cloned number plates.

The driver had no licence and insurance and was reported for summons and the vehicle went to the big scrapyard in the sky.
