Taxi driver left blind in one eye after attack in Leeds

Police are appealing for witnesses after a taxi driver was left blinded in one eye after being punched in Leeds city centre yesterday (Sunday).

The 36-year-old victim was attacked following an argument with two men who had approached him as he sat in his parked vehicle in Albion Street at about 5.10am on Sunday.

He is currently undergoing hospital treatment for the injury.

The suspects are described as white, aged 22 to 23 years and about 5ft 10ins to 5ft 11ins tall. One of the men was wearing dark blue jeans and a woollen jacket and the other was wearing cream trousers and a light shirt. Both men had blonde hair.
