A 17-year-old boy charged with the murder of  teenager Jamie Brown in Halifax has appeared in court.

Jamie Brown was stabbed to death on East Park Road in Lee Mount on October 27.

The 17-year-old accused of murder, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Leeds Crown Court earlier charged with his murder.

He is next due in court on December 17 for a plea hearing.

Five other youths arrested in connection with the stabbing remain on police bail.
