Theft from lorry in Dewsbury

Police are appealing for information after a number of items were taken from a lorry in Dewsbury.

The incident, in which a number of large neon letters were stolen from the interior of the vehicle, occurred at 9:30pm on Wednesday, December 18. on Low Mill Lane.

PC Alexis Stansfield of Dewsbury Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating the incident and said: “The curtain sides of the vehicle were cut open and the neon signs inside were removed.

“These were large items and it will have taken some time to transfer them from the lorry.

“It is also likely that they were transported away in a vehicle from the scene. I would therefore ask that anyone who noticed suspicious behaviour in this area to come forward immediately.

“Likewise, I would ask that if anyone is approached by anyone attempting to sell the stolen goods to get in touch.
