Three arrested over man’s murder in Leeds city centre

Three teenagers have been arrested by detectives investigating the death of a man in Leeds city centre.

The 18-year-olds were all arrested on suspicion of murder.

Robert Adamczyk, aged 28, from South Milford, was pronounced dead at Leeds General Infirmary after being seriously injured in an attack near The Grand theatre on the junction of Harrison Street and New Briggate shortly before 2am on Sunday.

Police were called to the scene by paramedics following reports that a man had been assaulted by one of a group of three men and had fallen to the ground suffering serious head injuries.

A post-mortem examination has since given the cause of death as a head injury.

Robert had been out in Leeds celebrating a friend’s stag night. He and a friend had left the group and gone to North Bar, in New Briggate. The attack happened after he and his friend left the bar.
