UPDATE: Seven youths wanted over gang attacks identified and four arrested

Officers have arrested four of the young men who were wanted in connection with two gang attacks in Halifax last week.

They are currently being questioned and enquiries to trace the others are ongoing.

A spokeswoman said: “We would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance.”

The first of last Thursday’s attacks happened on Horton Street at 10.15pm.

A 30-year-old man was approached by a gang who demanded he hand over his mobile phone and assaulted him when he refused.

Shortly afterwards, at 10.20pm, a 43-year-old man was attacked by a group of men in Savile Park Road.

Both victims suffered face injuries.
