UPDATED: Skeleton found in stream in Todmorden

Police received the call from a walker at around 3.15pm on Saturday who claimed to have seen the remains in the stream off Pudsey Road, Cornholme.

Detectives were at the scene until around 11pm. Police have now confirmed that the skeleton belonged to an animal.

The incident is also linked to the police helicopter which landed in Savile Park, Halifax, to transport an officer. It was also called to Todmorden to help with their inquiries.
