Vehicle occupants sought after Bradford stabbing

Police in Bradford are appealing for help in tracing the occupants of a vehicle who spoke to a man shortly after he was stabbed.

The conversation took place after a 24 year old local man was stabbed in the neck at an address on Fieldhurst Court, Bierley, Bradford, between Friday (March 28) night and Saturday (March 29) morning.

The victim left the address and made his way on foot on Rooley Lane towards the Barkerend area.

It is believed he flagged down a dark coloured Ford Focus with two male occupants between Bierley and Barkerend between 1am and 3am on Saturday morning.

Det Insp Neil Benstead of Bradford District CID said: “The victim was treated at the Bradford Royal Infirmary, his injury is described as serious but not life threatening.

“Thirty six year old, John Wilson of Cragg Road, Eccleshill and a 29 year old Dee Metcalfe of Fieldhurst Court in Bradford have been charged with attempted murder and were due to appear before Bradford Magistrates yesterday (March 31)

“I would appeal to anyone who believes they may be able to assist the investigation to make contact on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
