Video: English Defence League protest at Calderdale Magistrates’ Court during child sex abuse hearing

More than 50 people, including English Defence League supporters, gathered outside Calderdale Magistrates’ Court, as 25 men appeared charged with serious sex offences against two girls.

At times, there were angry scenes outside the building as the group chanted and confronted police and people leaving court.

Punches were thrown and the crowd tried to reach some of the defendants as they made their way from the hearing into the town centre but police intervened.
